IKEA

I love IKEA. Really Really Really LOVE it!

One of my big projects for 2013 was to get control over the kids' toys. We had toys in our family room, play room, both of the kids' bedrooms, our bedroom, and even some in the garage! Ahhhh!

After Christmas and Alexis' birthday when I kept opening more and more presents I snapped and said it was time to go through everything and start getting it organized, so that's what I did!

It took me a full day just to go through our family room toys. A FULL DAY! I made piles for things that needed to be trashed and things that needed to be donated and things that we would be keeping. There was 3 big trash bags full of trashed toys JUST from our family room.

It was at this point that I made the decision that all the toys would be going upstairs. I was ready to have our adult space back and stop letting the kids over-run it! 

That following weekend we made the long trip to IKEA. 

I bought several shelving units and tons and tons of baskets. I had a very long list of everything we needed to get.

Alexis found a tape measure and measured all the furniture for us, it kept her busy and happy!

I have the playroom and Paxton's room completed! I just have a few small things to do in Alexis' room and all these toys will be organized and everything will have a "home".
