I love our town!
I love that they hold such special events and always go above and beyond for them.
This town is dedicated to kids and families. I love that.
This was the first time I had heard of the 'Windsor Winter Wonderland' but it sounded fun and we didn't have any other plans, so we went. I figured it was going to be crazy busy so we got there 30 minutes early. We were the first people there. (note-to-self: don't show up that early next year!) We were the first people in line to see Santa. Thank goodness. Santa and his Mrs. rode in on a horse carriage ride and went into the train station. The kids were first to meet him. Alexis was so excited and jumped up on his lap without a problem. She told him that she wanted an iPhone for Christmas. That had everyone laughing and I don't think Santa knew what an iPhone was. Ha! Pax was terrified of Mrs. Claus, but sat in Santa's lap for a few minutes and then was over it. He is still pretty attached to only mommy and daddy.
After the excitement of seeing Santa, we walked through all the booths that were set up. The kids got to ride in a Fire Truck. They got toothbrushes from a local dentist and we even got to go on a horse carriage ride. So fun!
We told the kids we had an extra special treat for them. We took them to build-a-bear workshop and let them build some new animals. They were ecstatic.
After much deliberation Alexis choose the girl reindeer and named her Lady. Pax immediately picked out The Grinch, and named him Puppy. (He names everything Puppy.)
I love family days like these. Everyone happy and in a good mood. These are the days I'll remember forever.
