I love Thanksgiving! It's one of my favorite holidays. I'm sad that our country seems to want to skip right on over it.
My mom and dad hosted it this year. They asked Cory to fry the turkey, he was excited about it. And I was asked to make my famous Napa Cabbage Salad. We got there early to fry the turkey and to help my mom out with the rest of the cooking. It was a good day! It seems that Thanksgiving goes faster and faster each year.
We left the kids at my parents house that night so Cory and I could go black Friday shopping. I had never been before and I wanted to experience the craziness. Besides, I'm a sucker for a good deal! Cory and I headed straight to Toys R Us first and waited in the freezing cold to make a mad dash for the few Christmas gifts we wanted to get there. We waited in line for close to an hour just to check out! We headed next door to Target and I couldn't believe the madness! People were everywhere! I was surprised at how nice everyone was. I was expecting and kind of looking forward to the rudeness. Everyone was friendly and respectful. We got home around midnight and went to bed. We woke up at 4:00AM and were back at it again. Got home at 8:00 and took a quick 2 hour nap and then headed to go pick the kids back up.
