Christmas Parade- Estes Park

The day after Thanksgiving we headed up to Estes Park to stay at my aunt and uncles cabin so we could go to the Christmas Parade. We used to go all the time when we were little and we loved it! I've been wanting to go every year, but it just never seems to work out for us. This year, I was determined! We got there about 1.5 hours before it started and got a great spot on the curb. Cory and my dad ran to McDonalds to get us some dinner. Didn't think that one through before hand...oops. It was hard keeping the kids occupied while waiting for it to start, but they held out. The parade was awesome, and surprisingly short! Which was probably a good thing because it was freezing cold! Alexis kept asking me where Santa was. She was thrilled when she finally saw him at the end of the parade. She said that he waved to her. =) The kids passed out in the car on the short drive back to the cabin and we were able to get them in their PJs and put in bed without them waking up! Score! We ordered pizza and drank some white russians! (yum!) And headed to bed ourselves! The next day we slept in, hung around the cabin, ate lunch at Penelopes (our fav!) and headed home. Such a fun weekend! (Picture Overload!)
